Core Ch. 15Chapter 15   “You got it, boss,” Duke replied. He turned to the rest of the crew and yelled loudly above the chatter, “Listen up! I need four or five of you to get down there. My squad needs help and we need the cannon up and running to repel possible reinforcements. Think any of you can handle that?”   Four men raised their hands in reply and they quickly made their way out the bridge towards the deck. Duke took the time to look around at what was left over. Not including the possible crew still trapped in the lower levels of the ship, he had the captain and ten other men with four going down to assist Core Ch. 15

The Festival TragedyThe rest of the day had been a workload for Alexis. From military recruitment to youth interaction with the rest of her squad, the young woman had finally settled down a little off to the side but nonetheless within the area her recon squad sat in. It was a circle around a campfire, multiple flames were lit and her comrades had just about finished rolling in the barrels of rum and cider. She was would be offered several times to drink with them but her responses were the same: a simple shake of the head and a dismissing wave of the hand before she went back to what she was doing.   Guillotine, her guardian sky dragon lay behind her, The Festival Tragedy

Man vs. DragonFrom the top of her head to the bottom of her feet, Alexis shivered uncontrollably. The thousands of people in the audience continued to cheer loudly as they waited for the show to actually start with no one noticing just how nervous the actress was. It was a personal favor from her mother to see her dance again and she had given it thought for the past coming month of what exactly she could do with a sky dragon to fulfill that request. oh gosh. its fun yet difficult at the same time. There is a certain freedom in college you can't have with your parents around all the time but at the same time you're expected to do the work.

its no different in college except the teachers don't say that. you're expected to motivate yourself. the teachers just go in, give their lectures and leave unless you have an appointment with them.
